What did you guys make of Ben's comments last night? In a nod to concerns from some on Capitol Hill about the Fed's exit strategy, Mr Bernanke also repeated his position that the Fed has a number of tools to tighten monetary policy when appropriate. In response to questions, he said the Fed will be judging in the next few months whether the current economic recovery is self-sustaining enough for the Fed to start to pull back its stimulus efforts without causing any dislocation. Mr Bernanke said the Fed can't stay "too easy too long" and must act before some economic indicators -- such as full employment -- reach acceptable levels. www.theaustralian.com.au/business/markets/federal-resreve-chairman-ben-bernanke-defends-focus-on-inflation/story-e6frg926-1226014483704Maybe some of that contributed to last nights fall? hmmm, DJIA +209 at the moment...this gonna hurt, I was sitting on the fence, some longs - some shorts, but my shorts are large caps and my longs small caps...
My short term trading has been very ordinary of late.
My long term holdings as at yesterday were $164 shy of their all time high, so should bust that open today, although I have a lot of gold holdings and gold fell overnight.
I think I've been listening to too much bearish commentary.

OK that didnt hurt anywhere near as much as I feared...
ABU & FML both doing nicely today, as is RMS on some good drilling results. Not bad on a day when gold is well down.
BND going well too, plenty of press about coal assett sell off.
Bit of vol in BCC.
