Must have felt something in my waters when I propitiously sold off a week or two back g Nikkei in free fall. DJIA futures down 270. Get used to that colour guys. "propitiously". you're not wrong. I did the same, been short only in traders for a week. Sold $50k worth out of my super last week to pick some better buys on the dip. Looks like the dip is going to be dippier than I thought. Shame I didnt sell some more.

I'm around 70% short but I have been building the position over a few weeks now. Consequently the portfolio was down ~3% but yesterday/last night it started to recover. It's a pity I was stopped out of two of my short positions last week I'm short one gold stock NG and long one SA, currently in profit in both of them but SA will probably drop more than NG tonight. The longs in the portfolio are stocks I think are undervalued that "should" hold up. DOW futures down 240 points as I type .... good luck peeps .... GE are going to get hit hard, it's there reactor thats in trouble.

Looks like the dip is going to be dippier than I thought lol, that gave me a chuckle. Good one. Analysing degrees of dippiness has long been a basic process in technical analysis Worm, I'm surprised you haven't come across it. It originates from the ancient Greek mathematician and trader Dippaloticcus...who surmised that slave prices dipped in the cooler months, and that's when he did most of his trading. After a few years other traders cottoned on to what he was doing and the process spread like a contagion, becoming widely known as "dip-theory-a". Its not so common these days but I believe its still around.... Oh, I forgot to mention....a popular tool for measuring this is ofcourse....the dip-stick.... someone stop me please...

One theory from Forex Live:
These are the massive option-related stop-losses that we’ve been worried about for the last few months. USD/JPY has collapsed and the crosses are following. The BOJ will have to intervene to steady this market but that could be hours away. Low so far in USD/JPY 77.29.
